Who Was Compelled to Meet President in Gurjaani

April 25, 2012

“When I learn that people wake up at 8:00 am to meet me, it is huge stamina for me and for our government members not to sleep even at night and work 24 hours per day,” President Mikheil Saakashvili stated in Gurjaani. Before opening the new hospital the president made speech for the people who were gathered before the new medical center on purpose.

“A woman told me today that she has been standing her from 8:00 am. It is the best bonus for me in the world. She told me she had been waiting for me from early morning just to have a look at me and said nobody had compelled her to come here,” Saakashvili said.

In fact, teachers, nurses of kindergartens from about 20 villages in Gurjaani district, pupils of the Gurjaani public schools, employees of the territorial entities and budget funded institutions were brought to meet the President in Gurjaani.

Schooling process stopped in all four public schools of Gurjaani. Pupils told ICK that school directors had cancelled last lessons and sent them to meet the President together with their teachers. The school directors had special lists to record the names of pupils taken for the meeting.

Public servants told ICK that their transportation fees were covered by the village territorial entities or school directions.

It is noteworthy the two months ago Mikheil Saakashvili visted new medical centers in Akhmeta and Kvareli. The local governments mobilized teachers, pupils and public servants to meet him there too. In order to collect a lot of people in Akhmeta, the activists of the National Movement brought pupils by vehicles at the place. Public servants and students met the President in Telavi too when he presented the town rehabilitation program.
