Wife of Georgian Dream’s Activist Requested to Quit Job

April 27, 2012

Elene Popiashvili, wife of Giorgi Nasrashvili, the activist at the Georgian Dream’s Dedoplistskaro district office, was requested to write resignation letter at Dedoplistskaro Public School # 2 where she teaches Mathematics.

“The director told her, your husband supports Bidzina Ivanishvili and you have to quit the job. Elene refused to write resignation letter and the director warned her he would write order on her dismissal,” Georgian Dream’s Dedoplistskaro district office informed the ICK.

The school director and head of district educational resource center did not comment on the fact.

Teachers have been massively fired from schools on political grounds for the last one month in Kakheti.
