Mini-Bus Seized from Georgian Dream’s Supporter in Dedoplistskaro

June 11, 2012

Dedoplistskaro district police officers seized mini-bus from Dimitri Khumarashvili, supporter of the political coalition Georgian Dream and took the vehicle to the penalty lot without drawing up administrative protocol on the fact.

“Dimitri was traveling from Kvemo Kedi village. His mother and aunt were in the vehicle. At the entrance to Dedoplistskaro police stopped him. Dimitry asked the reason and police officers told him they had received instruction to stop the car and he could find out reason in Telavi. Police officers asked all three persons to get off the bus and took the vehicle to the penalty lot. They did not draw up a protocol. One police officer told him, you seem to be traveling to Kutaisi and without car you will not go there,” Tamazashvili said.

On June 10, Dedoplistskaro district police officers arrested Gia Popiashvili, supporter of the Coalition Georgian Dream, for the resistance to police. Court sentenced him to ten-day imprisonment.
