KKinfo.net Agency, Concerned into INFO 9 Activities, Impossible to be Found on Internet

Journalist Mari Sologhashvili and cameraman Temur Shapatava who got interested in the activities of the INFO 9 reporters in Gardabani on July 5 in Gardabani, used to work for Kvemo Kartli TV till the end of June – director of Kvemo Kartli TV Station Khatuna Mamardashvili told Media.ge.

In the video released by INFO 9  Sologhashvili said she is preparing footage for the KKinfo.net agency. But the aforementioned agency was not found in the internet.

“Who is your employer? Who is funding you? Who is your producer? What is your profession? You are working on negative only, aren’t you? Show me one of your positive TV-stories!” Sologhashvili was asking journalist Nino Basishvili of the INFO 9. The KKinfo.net journalist was also curious to know why Basishvili was not wearing a badge to prove she is a journalist. Since INGO 9 journalist did not have the badge, the KKinfo.net journalist decided her colleague was preparing some ordered stories.

Later Sologhashvili asked: “Where was Ivanishvili during Shevardnadze’s presidency? Was life better during his term? Why aren’t you answering? Are not you capable to analyze the situation? Why aren’t you expressing your opinion? Because you are the journalist obeying somebody’s orders!” she finally concluded.

This is not first case when INFO 9 journalists become targets of particular interest. The agency representatives were even physically abused. For a week now several individuals, on behalf of Media Group news agency, have been haunting journalist Ekaterine Dugladze of INFO 9 Zestaponi bureau and keep asking questions about ties with the Georgian Dream coalition and Bidzina Ivanishvili.

Also, on July 4 the INFO 9 camera crew was physically abused in the village of Tsedisi, Gori region.

KKinfo.net journalist’s behavior was condemned by Kvemo Kartli news portal kkpress.ge. Allegedly they have got nothing in common with Kkinfo.net except minor similarity in the name.

“We suppose the similarity between domain names aims at discrediting kkpress.ge,” the statement released by kkpress.ge reads.
