Governor Fired Cousin for Hosting Georgian Dream Activists

July 27, 2012
Aniko Iremashvili, who was working as territorial authority specialist in village Vazisubani of Gurjaani district, was fired from her job by Khaketi governor and her cousin George Gviniashvili.

As it was told to Khaketi Information Centre by the territorial authority of village Vazisubani, it was Aniko Iremashvili's birthday and she had invited friends who are supporters of Georgian Dream. The governor understood this fact. There was a call made to Gviniashvili and he was told that his relative was hosting Ivanishvili supporters. He immediately ordered that his cousin be fired from her job. No mercy was shown to his cousin in regards to his political career said by Vazisubani residents.

Malkhaz Solomnishvili, principal of Vazisubani territorial authority, does not know the official reasons for firing Aniko Iremashvili.

“I wrote a statement concerning leaving the job because of an illness and also after the horrible hail in Khaketi I don’t have time to work. I think my statement will be satisfactory. I didn’t have a birthday” said Aniko Iremashvili to Khaketi Information Centre.

We were unable to contact the governor. Gviniashvili did not answer our phone calls.
