United National Movement’s Kakheti Coordinator Insults Georgian Dream Member

July 24, 2012
Giorgi Botkoveli, United National Movement’s regional coordinator in Kakheti, who is on the ballot in Telavi in the upcoming Parliamentary election, verbally insulted Zura Kurashvili, a member of  the Georgian Dream coalition. ”Have you ever done anything? Does anyone know you in Ikalto? Just ask about yourself in your own village, you villain” -Botkoveli reportedly said to Kurashvili.

The incident happened in Kurdgelauri village in the Telavi region. Bidzina Ivanishvili visisted the village together with other Georgian Dream leaders to survey the damage wreacked by last week’s natural disaster. Giorgi Botkoveli was following the Georgian Dream delegation together with Petre Tsiskarishvili, deputy mayor of Akhmeta and parliamentary majority leader, and Koba Maisuradze, governor of Akhmeta municipality.

“What can you do for this country and what have you done at all? So now you remember Ikalto and Kurdgelauri. Were you not Telavian until now?”-Botkoveli shouted at Kurashvili who proceeded to leave the scene of the incident.

The Information Centre of Kakheti interviewed Giorgi Botkoveli. ”No one has ever heard of him doing anything good in the village. He has been the regional manager of “GlobalTV” for years. He has had a close relationship with Bidzina Ivanishvili, but he has never helped a single man in the village. He has always lived very well and now he is looking to take credit for something he never did”,-Botkoveli said to Information Centre of Kakheti (Video from Maestro TV).
