Memorandum on the Defense of Health Rights

Nongovernmental organizations Article 42 of the Constitution, New Vector and HEPA Plus signed memorandum on cooperation and assistance for the defense of health rights of citizens.

The organizations started cooperation for the defense of health rights, to provide citizens with legal aid and to conduct joint awareness-raising campaigns on health rights issues.

Organization Article 42 of the Constitution launched a new project Strategic Litigation for the Protection of Health Rights with financial support of the Open Society – Georgia.

The purpose of the project is to improve protection of heath rights of socially vulnerable and marginalized population through strategic litigation. 

The organization will provide interested citizens with free legal consultations (over-phone, personal and online) on the issues concerning health rights. The organization will also organize awareness-raising campaigns.

Article 42 takes responsibility to represent citizens at national and international courts in some cases.
