Kutaisi City Council Not to Hold Sessions before October 1

Kutaisi City Council declared moratorium on special sessions. The reason is upcoming parliamentary election.

Amiran Khvadagiani-the the chairman of the city council announced about the monitoring on special meetings on the 39th special session at the Kutaisi City Council on September 3.

“Special sessions will not be held in Kutaisi local self-government till October 1. The reason is the busy pre-election campaign,” Amiran Khvadagiani stated.

The special sessions became an essential part of the City Council’s activities recently. The frequent changes in the budget were discussed on the special sessions and despite the opposition parties’ prost they were passed.
