CDM’s Candidate Request More Ambulances in Poti

September 12, 2012

On September 10, Christian Democrat Movement’s majoritarian candidate in Poti Lasha Beraia held a briefing and spoke about small number of ambulances in the city and said it was necessary to add new vehicles and replace old, outdated ones.

He said ambulances in Poti are old and outdated. “According to standards, one vehicle shall serve per 10 000 inhabitants of the town. There are 60 000 inhabitants in Poti but medical emergency service has only 3 ambulances,” Lasha Beraia said.

Majoritarian candidate said that because of old cars some calls finished lethally.

“Short time ago, 19-year-old young man died because the ambulance was late,” Beraia said. He appealed to the insurance company Aldagi BCI, the owner of the medical emergency service 03, to add vehicles to the medical service in Poti.
