Center for Civic Engagement in Kutaisi started a series of meetings with majoritarian candidates of the upcoming elections. First meeting was held on September 14 with Kutaisi majoritarian candidate Mamuka Mgvdeladze who is representing the New Rights.
After presenting program and main priorities representative of New Rights Party said he has to work in non-competitive environment during the pre-election period.
“Thanks to God we aren’t chased as it used to happen during previous elections. But the ruling party has occupied entire advertisement space and it creates problems for us. In general there are two tadpoles and two poles. Voters need more information; they should know who is who and what they represent. Unfortunately it doesn’t happen. At the end they elect those who love arranging feasts or have more authority. Voters should have chance to better know all political parties, all candidates and it will assist them in making right choice,” Mamuka Mgvdeladze said.
Mgvdeladze is the only candidate between majoritarian candidates who may represent the local self-government in the parliament of he wins. He was elected to be member of Kutaisi City Council in 2010.
