September 28, 2012

Ozurgeti regional court imposed fine of 2000 lari on Tamar Malazonia in her absense. Tamar Malazonia supports Georgian Dream. Judge Levan Nutsubidze fined Malazonia according to the Article 45 of the Administrative Law and Article 79 of the Election Code.

Malazonia is obliged to pay the fine within 30 days. According to Malazonia she was fined for having performed political agitation as a public servant: “They concluded the briefing I held in the Georgian Dream’s Ozurgeti office was political agitation and fined me in my absense”.

Tamar Malazonia said they fined her after she had openly declared a support to the coalition Georgian Dream.

Tamar Malazonia has been working as the assistant of attorney of Gurianta village in Ozurgeti municipality for four years. She supported the ruling party actively. After she watched the footage about general situation in Georgian prisons she resigned in protest. She had worked on the position for four years. On that day Malazonia held briefing in Georgian Dream’s Ozurgeti office where she said that had decided to resign because of her human and moral views.
