According to Paata Zakareishvili, coordinators and sub-coordinators of the political coalition Georgian Dream in Tskaltubo DEC # 58 have been victims of mass psychological intimidation since 10:00 pm on September 30. Police officers are calling and intimidating them.

Opurchkheti village chief police officer called the coordinator of the PS # 17 Giorgi Kakhidze from a hidden phone-number and summoned him to the police office at 12:00 am on Tuesday.

Tskaltubo district police investigator Malkhaz Basiladze called the coordinator of the PS # 1 Nana Kutateladze, told her she had accepted 250 lari from the Georgian Dream and said that for that reason he was summoning her to the police station on Tuesday.

Coordinator of the PS # 12 Kakha Pantskhava was summoned to the police station for October 2.

Tea Gvelebiani, member of the PEC at PS # 32 was also summoned to the police station for Tuesday.

The original text of Zakareishvili’s statement also contains those phone numbers used to call Georgian Dream coordinators and summon them to police stations.

Paata Zakareishvili added that every person who was called and summoned to police stations last night is an activist of Georgian Dream: “They must be at the polling stations and carry out their legal duties on the Election Day. The phone calls shall be clearly interpreted as form of psychological intimidation in order to control their activities on polling day. We can openly declare that Georgian Dream has not paid money to the coordinators. So, police officers intimidated our coordinators with phone calls in order to influence their activities during the polling process and it has a political motive.”
