Former Employees of Telasi Might Appeal to Prosecutor’s Office

October 17, 2012

Former employees of Telasi [Tbilisi Electricity Distribution Company] do not exclude possibility that they will continue their struggle through litigation. Former employee of Telasi Levan Gagnidze said they will work out collective appeal which will be filed to the prosecutor’s office.

“We are likely to continue struggle through litigation. Today, we have filed collective application to Telasi where we requested to restore us to our working places. Unless they satisfy our request, we will file collective complaint to the prosecutor’s office and request to start impartial investigation into our firing and violence against ordinary personnel of Telasi by its administration after Arsoshvili came in office,” Gagnidze said.

He added several hundred people were sacked, who were professionals and their dismissal will negatively impact the activities of Telasi.

On October 17, former employees of Telasi held protest rally in front of the JSC Telasi’s office; they requested restoration at working places and handed application to the Telasi’s chancellery.

Another former employee Vakhtang Gotsiridze said hundred of professional workers were illegally sacked from the company after Zurab Arsoshvili occupied the position of the commercial director.
