Kharagauli District Population Request Reimbursement of Damage

October 18, 2012
Georgian Railway Department is building a new railway line in Kharagauli. The construction has been underway for more than one month. The construction will damage houses of residents of Kharagauli and Bazaleti village because they are cutting a tunnel which requires explosions in some places.

The tunnel is cut very close to the residential area. Explosions and construction activities take place at night too so people cannot peacefully sleep. However, their main problem is damaged houses; cracks appear on the walls every day. The locals request compensation for the damaged houses.

The victimized population petitioned to the Kharagauli district administration who forwarded them to the Railway Department.
