Thea Tsulukiani: “Nora Kvitsiani’s Case Shall Finish with Agreement”

October 30, 2012

Minister of Justice Thea Tsulukiani said the application sent to the European Court of Human Rights on the case of Emzar Kvitsiani’s sister – Nora Kivitsiani shall finish with agreement.

As for the criminal case against Emzar Kvitsiani, former governor of Kodori Gorge (formerly Svaneti region and currently Abkhazian territory), the minister said “it will be studied if Kvitsiani returns to homeland and will be ready to answer all legitimate questions of the Georgian society.”

“Nora Kvitsiani became victim of unfair court and illegalities because of the mistakes committed by her brother. We are the government which claims that real perpetrators must be punished. And the punishment shall be adequate,” Thea Tsulukiani told journalists.

The Minister of Justice will pay her first visit to Strasbourg in November.
