Entertainment in Striptease Club Funded from Tbilisi Budget

October 31, 2012

Money was paid by Old City Rehabilitation and Development Foundation to Club Diva– the receipt reads which was spread by various media-sources. According to two invoices and receipts issued in 2010, the Foundation transferred 5 129 lari to Club Diva. It is unknown who those people were who funded their entertainment from the city budget.

City government transferred more than 288 million lari from its budget to the Old Tbilisi Rehabilitation and Development Foundation in 2005-2011. Today, this Foundation does not exist. The allocated funds were to be spent on the rehabilitation, renovation and restoration of Old Tbilisi but the financial documents show the funds were unreasonably spent. Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association appeals to the City Hall to make the financial expenditures of the Foundation transparent.

Nobody commented on the issue at the City Hall. Neither State Audit Service says anything claiming they have not studied the case.
