“Return!” Project to Protect Businessmen with Seized Properties

November 5, 2012

Nongovernmental organization Georgian Business launched project “Return” to protect interests of the businessmen whose properties were seized.

On October 30, head of the nongovernmental organization Mamia Sanadridze, who is founder of the Company Caucasus Online, spoke about the goals of their project.

He said their organization offers every businessman, who thinks that his property rights were breached, to unify to work out joint strategy and find legal ways to return seized properties.

The NGO representatives stated at the briefing that first of all they will create data base, then cases will be sorted out and finally, as a result of discussion and legal consultations, they will decide ways of litigation.

The project initiators said their main purpose is to finally eradicate attempts of breaching property rights in Georgian business sector, to punish perpetrators and to establish mutual respect among businessmen.

Email address daabrune@gmail.com was already created in the frame of the project where interested people can send their information and questions.

Additionally, Mamia Sanadiradze noted that many people are already interested in the project and businessmen contacted them both from Georgia and abroad. First meeting of businessmen in the frame of the project will presumably be held next week.
