Deputy Chairman of Khoni Municipal Board Quitted National Movement

November 8, 2012
On November 5, deputy chairman of the Khoni municipal board Rezo Partskhaladze officially left United National Movement. He started speaking about events that occurred before elections in Khoni. He clarified his decision was motivated by intimidation facts in Khoni before elections.

“During the election period many facts of intimidation, bribery and fabrication were observed by National Movement’s. However, I could not send my family abroad and isolate them from harassers; so I was apolitical during elections. I demonstrated my protest by not visiting National Movement’s office,” Rezo Partskhaladze said.

Deputy Chairman did not participate in the pre-election campaign at all. He did not support Georgian Dream either. However, people explained his apolitical behavior was connected with his friendship with Nika Sanodze, Georgian Dream’s majoritarian candidate in Khoni district.

UNM representatives said Partskhaladze is also guilty if elections were unfairly held in Khoni.
