November 30, 2012

On November 28, miners from Chiatura went to Tkibuli to express solidarity with their local colleagues. The purpose of this action was to support Tkibuli miners that also intended to share their experience.

Employees of Georgian Manganese said they will give some advises to Tkibuli miners because they also had problems with employers.

“We will suggest them how to act based on our own experience. They might need establishment of a new trade union or strikers’ committee and we will give them recommendations out of our experience,” the miners said.

It is noteworthy one-month strike of miners in Chiatura finished several days ago. Miners in Tkibuli request improved working conditions and increased salaries.
