Giorgi Sibashvili Does Not Plead Guilty

The former governor of Kakheti Giorgi Sibashvili does not plead guilty and is going to cooperate with the investigation. As InterPressNews was told by Sibashvili, he will provide the investigation with documentation that will prove his innocence.

“I do not agree with the accusation. I will provide the investigation with all documentation that will make everything clear and will confirm that I am innocent. Now I cooperate and will cooperate with the investigation”, Giorgi Sibashvili said.

The investigative service of the Ministry of Finance accuses Sibashvili, Kakheti region former deputy governor, of abusing authority, illegal misappropriation and waste of state property. The investigation is underway under Article 332 and 333 Part I and Article 182 Part II and III of the Criminal Code of Georgia that is punished by imprisonment up to 11 years.
