Zestaponi District Majoritarian MP Blamed in Oppression

January 31, 2013

Head of administration service office blames Zestaponi district majoritarian MP in oppression. On January 30, Natalia Samteladze applied to the Public Defender’s Kutaisi office with this problem.

Samteladze said after the new district governor was elected, 15 people were fired from the administration and MP Gogi Kavtaradze personally participated in this process.

“Kavtaradze told me unless I wrote resignation letter myself, they would do it. I am not writing the resignation application because they cannot explain the reason of my dismissal,” said Natalia Samteladze.

Representatives of the Public Defender’s Kutaisi office refused to comment on the fact before they study the issue. However, according to their clarification, in accordance to the legislation, self-government is an independent agency and MPs do not have right to interfere in their activities.
