On February 13, Wednesday, at 3:00 pm Human Rights House Tbilisi is organizing press-conference together with the representatives of the organization “Youth Center for Independent Life” in the office of the Open Society Georgia Foundation (Chovelidze str. 10, Tbilisi).

At the press-conference, people with disabilities and their lawyers will speak about ongoing litigations they are conduct at the national courts and will inform journalists about concrete facts of violations of their rights.

Namely, on February 12, Tuesday, Tbilisi City Court passed negative judgment on the lawsuit of Koba Nadiradze, client of the HRHT and Article 42 of the Constitution, who is director of the Youth Center for Independent Life. The court refused to satisfy the application where HRHT had requested adaptation of premises of public agencies and public transport means for the people with disabilities.

The internship has been implemented by the Human Rights House Tbilisi (HRHT) and the Human Rights Centre (HRIDC) with the assistance of the Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) program ‘Civil Initiative for an Independent Judiciary’  in partnership  the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
