Court granted bail to Lado Vardzelashvili and two other defendants

Tbilisi City Court made a statement in connection with Vladimer Vardzelashvili, Vakhtang Bichashvili and Zviad Kavtaradze.

According to the Court information, Tbilisi City Court partially satisfied request of Prosecutor regarding granting bail of  GEL 4 000 to Vladimer Vardzelashvili and 7 000 GEL to Vakhtang Bichashvili and  imprisonment of Zviad Kavtaradze. 

The Court granted bail to all defendants, particularly, Vladimer Vardzelashvili-3 000 GEL, Vakhtang Bichashvili-6 000 GEL and Zviad Kavtaradze- 15 000 GEL. Defendants will be released immediately when they pay the total sum of fine.  

At the open sitting of the Court, during the process of specific remand, the Court took into consideration personality of accused people, their past, their action behavior, risks of avoiding to the Court; particularly: suspected people admitted and sincerely confessed committed crime, they had not gone from incident place before the police came, furthermore, they collaborated with investigation agencies. Accused people are married and they all have permanent residences. At the sitting of Court protection side represented the notary certified consent from deceased family and sufferer assignable appealed to the Tbilisi City Court that they have no complaints with accused Kavtaradze and to lead non-imprisonment arrangement towards Zviad Kavtaradze.  

In accordance to these circumstances, the Court considered that there is no danger that the defendants will hide, will commit new crime or oppress witnesses. This is the reason why the Court made a decision to use fine as a remand. 

The pre-trial proceeding will be held on April 17, at 12 o’clock in Tbilisi City Court.
