Study Center for Soviet Deposits to Launch Hotline for Depositors

March 25, 2013

Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen has been studying hyper-inflation processes of early 1990s which resulted into devaluation of deposits and depositors’ impoverishment.

To study the problem, the Association created the Study Center for Soviet Deposits. The purpose of the Center is to collect documents, facts and different materials connected with the devaluation of deposits via active communication with the society. They should collect and disseminate the information. In order to promote better communication with the society, the Center decided to launch a hot-line after society got particularly interested in their work.

Calling hotline interested people can provide the center with any relevant information and get news from them.

The hotline of the organization is: 5 790 10 90 19

The hotline is working on working-days from 12:00 pm to 20:00 pm.

Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen studied hyper-inflation process of the 1990s about a month ago. Young financiers believe monetary-credit politics of the National Bank caused the hyper-inflation of that time. Namely, when the National Bank issued more than 800 billion coupon and ruble on more than 500 companies.

The Association has already petitioned to the National Bank and requested this information but they refused. In response to that, the Association filed a lawsuit against the NB and will try to get the information via court. The NB responded to the Association’s lawsuit on their Facebook page and stated that several nongovernmental organizations requested the Bank to release confidential information that the Bank could not issue. The Association also responded to their statement after what the NB deleted the statement from their Facebook page.
