Georgia Ranked 55th place in Failed States Index

American Fund for Peace has published the Failed States Index 2013, where Georgia ranked 55th place. 

The annual index of the Fund for Peace surveyed 178 countries and African states - Somalia, Congo, Sudan and South Sudan - are top failed countries. 

As for the most successful countries, the Fund for Peace named Finland, Sweden, Norwey, Switzerland and Denmark. The Fund for Peace evaluates countries as per 12 indicators, including: demographic state, natural disasters, diseases, public factors, food availability, state of IDPs, conflicts, crime rate, outer forces’ intervention, etc.

In 2012 Georgia ranked the 51st position in the Failed States Index.
