Presidential candidate of the Christian-Democrat Movement Giorgi Targamadze had a modest pre-election campaign in Gori. About 30 people gathered to meet him and majority of them were members and activists of the CDM’s local office.

In the frame of pre-election campaign, CDM’s presidential candidate requests to amend Constitution of Georgia and calculate subsistence minimum in the country. He said neither new government intends to calculate subsistence minimum like the previous one.

“In parallel to the signatures for the introduction of amendments into the constitution, we started country-wide campaign for the calculation of subsistence minimum in the country. The future president shall tell the truth to the population and the truth is that a person cannot honorably live in Georgia with 145 lari; so, we shall calculate real subsistence minimum that is no less than 250 lari. At the same time, it is positive obligation of the state to increase pension and social aid up to 250 lari. Neither old nor new authorities refused to increase subsistence minimum,” Giorgi Targamadze said.
