Acting Vice-Mayors of Kutaisi Might Resign

September 9, 2013

Shorena Kakabadze, Kutaisi

Kutaisi City Court upheld the lawsuit of the former vice-mayor Kote Ratiani and ordered new administration of the Kutaisi City Hall to execute the judgment that requires to restore Ratiani to the position and to reimburse his missed working hours.

Soon, the court might satisfy the lawsuit of another vice-mayor Amiran Dzotsenidze too, who was fired from the job on June 18 based on the city mayor’s decree together with Ratiani for the same motive – violation of professional power.

If Ratiani is restored to the position and Dzotsenidze’s suit is also satisfied, interim mayor Kote Lomidze and Vice-mayor Gia Sharabidze will have to resign. Kutaisi local government’s representatives said they do not intend to add new working places in the administration.
