Nino Burjanadze: “Justice Everywhere and For Everybody”

Presidential candidate of the Democratic Movement Nino Burjanadze met electorate in the Hotel Sheraton Metekhi Palace in Tbilisi.

Her election program was presented at the meeting. Burjanadze spoke about two main purposes of the state: to ensure internal and external security of its citizens and creation basis for the welfare of the population. In addition, the meeting participants discussed the issues like subsistence minimum, pension and unemployment allowances, education and culture, agriculture and land ownership, etc.

The candidate clarified that agriculture is the significant field for the country. It is important to create strategic views and conception for the country’s development, after what economic conditions of the society will improve.

Besides that, Burjanadze noted that not only internal but foreign relations. It is important to know that foreign orientation shall suit internal orientation of the country.

“We have no illusion that we will live in the problem-less country, but our purpose is to leave this close circle, where Georgia is stuck for many years. The starting point of our program is to restore justice in the country,” Burjanadze said.

Experts and representatives of different foreign countries attended the presentation of the election program of the Democrat Movement’s Leader.
