October 25, 2013

Shorena Kakabadze, Kutaisi

127 polling stations are opened in Kutaisi for 2013 Presidential Elections. In addition to that 128th and 129th special PSs will function in Kutaisi Prison # 2 and military unit – Infantry Brigade # 3 on the Election Day.

“Those special polling stations, like other 127 PSs, will be opened at 7: 00 am on October 27 and polling procedures will start at 8:00 am. There is nothing particular in these precincts except the fact that prisoners vote in one PS and military servants in the second one,” chairman of the Kutaisi DEC # 59 Avtandil Osepaishvili told humanrights.ge.

Kutaisi DEC has already received list of voters. 419 people will vote in the 128th special PS and 460 people in the 129th PS.

The prison personnel will also vote in the special precinct in Kutaisi Prison # 2. A special list of the personnel was sent to the joint voters’ list to the 129th precinct.
