Results from One Precinct Cancelled in Kutaisi

October 30, 2013

Shorena Kakabadze, Kutaisi

Based on the decision of the District Election Commission, results from PEC # 65 in Kutaisi DEC # 59, where only 596 out of 1 467 registered voters voted, were annulled. As DEC members clarified, their decision was caused by procedural violations in the precinct.

Namely, signature and data of the first voter was not found on the control paper. There were some other violations too that became ground to annul the results from the precinct.

The Kutaisi DEC discussed only 9 complaints filed from 127 precincts and two special precincts in the district. However, as we found out, significant violations were not observed in any of them and PEC Chairpersons and secretaries received only verbal warnings.
