Saakashvili Pardoned Davit Adeishvili

President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili pardoned Davit Adeishvili, brother of the former Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili. Currently Adeishvili is convicted and south. He was charged for the abuse of professional authority. On September 2, 2013 Telavi District Court sentenced him to two-years in jail in abstentia. According to the official information, Davit Adeishvili is sought. 

Kakheti regional prosecutor’s office blamed Davit Adeishvili in the abuse of professional power. According to the prosecutor’s office, in 2005, Davit Adeishvili compelled the owners of the Telavi market to assign their shares to his trustee Jabrail Khangoshvili.

Ministry of Penitentiary also confirmed information about pardoning of Davit Adeishvili. President’s administration states it is personal information and cannot name the ground of pardon decision.

“We cannot release information about pardoned people and grounds of their pardoning because it is personal data. The information is directed to the execution agency and the person in charge,” head of press center at the President’s Administration Natia Bandzeladze said.
