Kvareli District Deputy Governor Arrested for Bribery

Officers of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the MIA arrested Otar Adomlishvili, Kvareli district deputy governor, for having accepted particularly large amount of bribe.

According to the MIA, Otar Admolishvil, when implementing his professional duties, accepted bribe of 50 000 lari from a citizen in exchange of putting 711 931 sq. meters of land located in Eniseli village, Kvareli district on the auction, in exchange of artificially lowering the price on it and victory in the auction. 

The investigation was launched into accepting particularly large amount of bribe, which is punishable by imprisonment from 11 to 15 years under Article 338 Part III – e of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
