“2014 local self-governmental elections will be even better than past parliamentary and presidential elections. It will be of higher quality elections and we will finish consolidation of democracy in the country, which we launched in 2012,” President of Georgia made statement in the Parliament of Georgia.

Giorgi Margvelashvili said 2013 was successful year in general and added “European choice will never been reviewed in Georgia. It is choice of our predecessors, our political decision! NATO is our priority!”

Margvelashvili positively evaluated local self-governmental reform and amendments to the Code of Self-Government. “In 2014 we must realize this reform. We should declare full readiness for that and start working for the local self-governmental elections,” he announced the Local Self-Governmental Election Day– June 15, 2014.
