12 Employees Fired from Gurjaani Local Self-Governmental Agency

On August 14, as a result of test examinations, 12 employees were fired from the Gurjaani district self-governmental bodies: 10 persons from the district administration and 2 from the municipal board.
Specialist at the public relations service of the Gurjaani district administration Zviad Biashvili said the dismissed people occupied the following positions in the administration: chief specialist of the supervision service, chief specialist of the administrative service; two chief specialists from financial-budget and social service; chief specialist for the department of the property management, economic development, statistics, infrastructure, architecture and construction; chief specialist of the department for economic development planning and statistics and five specialists at the military registration and recruitment service.

Examination commission member Beka Maisuradze said two employees of the municipal board and 24 employees of the district administration passed exams. According to the results, all 12 people were fired. “They do not protest dismissal. Nobody has applied us with complaints.”

Humanrights.ge contacted the dismissed employees who said they passed exams well and received high points during interviews but in final conclusion the commission wrote “they were not appropriate candidates for the positions.” They said everything was planned in advance and it is useless to protest.  
The test exams took place in Gurjaani on August 14.
