Coalition for Trust in the South Caucasus Cross-border seminar Press Release

On 16-17 September 2015 a regional seminar on “Coalition for Trust in the South Caucasus” will be organized in Yerevan, Armenia. The Coalition was established in the frame of the project Coalition for Rebuilding Trust in the South Caucasus, which is implemented by the Norwegian Helsinki Committee together with local partner NGOs since November 2012. In Georgia, project partners are Human Rights Center and Public Movement Multinational Georgia. The project is implemented with financial support of EU and Norwegian Foreign Ministry. 

25 students, human rights activists and journalists from Armenia, Georgia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Abkhazia and South Ossetia involved in activities in the frames of “Coalition for Building Trust” project will participate in the event. It is expected that representatives of Azerbaijan will participate in the event online. 6 human rights activists and journalists will participate in the seminar from Georgia.

The aim of the seminar is to create a network for cooperation and platform for dialogue among participants of the seminar as a precondition for formation of a coalition for trust. 
 
Media representatives are invited to cover the seminar during the official opening ceremony of the event on 16 September. The working language of the seminar is Russian.
