On October 22, during night hours, office of the United National Movement was raided in Gori. The building windows were broken and façade was painted in red.

Representatives of the local UNM office said their office cars as well as cars of neighbors were damaged.

“Last night our office was again attacked. It was done in accordance to the instructions from the government, more precisely from the State Security Service. They are desperate and use all methods to fight against us,” UNM member Kakha Lobzhanidze said.

According to the press-service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, investigation into the fact was launched under Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia that is damage/destroy of other’s property. Nobody was arrested for the incident so far.

On October 19, the door of the UNM office in Gori was nailed when its members were participating in the demonstration in Tbilisi to support TV-Company Rustavi 2. The protesters wrote on the door – “liquidated.”

One of the UNM leaders MP Nugzar Tsiklauri held a press-conference in Gori and showed photos of the protesters; he said local government representatives also participated in the raid.

Recently, protest demonstrations were twice organized near the UNM offices in different regions of Georgia after video-footage of the torture facts during previous government was disseminated in internet.
