14-Years Old Girl Wounded in Akhmeta

An accident happened in Matani village of Akhmeta municipality. 22-yearold boy accidentally wounded a girl of 14 in the belly. Ambulance took her to the Akhmeta district hospital, where she was operated during 4 hours.

Representative of the district governor in Matani administrative unit Davit Mamukelashvili told humarights.ge that the neighbor accidentally fired the gun. He categorically excludes possibility of the murder attempt and hopes the charge against the detainee will be re-qualified.

Mamukelashvili said the girl was taken to the Tbilisi Iashvili Pediatric Clinic because of multiple injuries. She is in intensive therapy unit and additional analysis are conducted.

The police arrested the accused person immediately. As press-center of the MIA told humanrights.ge the investigation was started under Articles 19 and 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia that is attempt of premeditated murder.
