April 25, 2016
Lela Khechoshvili, Kakheti

Social Service Agency ceased social benefit for Iamze Jibghashvili, 57, resident ofTamariani village in Lagodekhi municipality.

“I am a lonely person and have no income; I do not have a plot or any plants in my yard. I am disabled person from birth for what I cannot work physically. I do not get a pension and cannot buy even a medicine. But how can I live without bread? They ceased my allowance in October 2015, which I used to get for 3 years; it helped me a bit,” Iamze Jibghashvili told humanrights.ge.

Iamze Jibghashvili received a rating points of 102 000 and she applied to the Lagodekhi district social agency for clarifications. They said she received high rating because she has a house.

“They said I cannot re-apply before November, 2016 but I will die of hunger. Please help me to restore my social benefit. Besides that, my house is on the edge of collapse,” Jibghashvili said.

Head of the Lagodekhi district Social Service Agency Tamaz Kakiashvili said he will study the case of Iamze Jibghashvili though as his colleagues clarified the applicant lost social allowance because of high rating points.

According to the law, a family can be re-evaluated only after a year from previous examination.
