132 000 GEL was allocated from the local budget for the Easter Holiday bonuses of the employees of Gurjaani district administration and municipal board. Head of financial service unit at the local self-governmental agency Nato Gongadze told humanrights.ge about it.

“Total 132 000 GEL will be spent on the bonuses for the employees of the municipal board and district administration,” she said.

As the chairman of the financial-budget commission of the municipal board Gia Amisulashvili told humanrights.ge the municipal board had already spent 35 000 GEL on bonuses. Every employee of the municipal board received bonuses equal to their monthly salaries.

“We have envisaged funds for two bonuses per year in the local budget – they are for the Easter Holiday and for the Christmas Holiday. This year, it was first bonus for the Easter Holiday; all our staff members received bonuses equal of their salaries,” Gia Amisulashvili said.

The municipal board member Nika Nizharadze says every employee of the local self-governmental institutions should get bonuses.

“If a person works hard, of course he should get bonus both on the New Year and Easter Holidays; but does the district administration work hard?! The senior officials do not deserve any bonuses considering the work they do,” Nizharadze said.
