On September 15, pupils will resume studies again in the stables and cellars in the village Lambalo of Sagarejo region. The construction of a new school started two years ago, though, is not finished yet.

The Ministry of Education declared that classes will be held in the new school from 10th of October.

The construction of the Lambalo public school was interrupted several times, once in the summer of 2016. The Ministry terminated the contract with the Turkish Construction Company, because it did not pay salaries to the employees. The Ministry of Education reported that the company “Trans Msheni” is working on the construction now.

For 8 years already, the children study in the rooms which were rented from private people, where they do not have any conditions to receive the education. The lessons are conducted in the rooms, which were stables before.

On April 30, 2013, the Ombudsman Ucha Nanuashvili  recommended  the former Minister of Science and Education and President Giorgi Margvelashvili to take immediate measures to create decent environment for ethnic Azerbaijani pupils in the Lambalo Public School.

The construction of the Lambalo Public School started on February 4, 2014. Former minister Tamar Sanikidze claimed the construction will finish by June 2015.
