On September 27, Sozar Subari, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, visited current construction in the Kombinati settlement in Gori. 4 ten-floor residential buildings are being constructed in the Kombinati settlement. The minister said after the construction is over, 480 IDP families will receive apartments.

Soza Subari also responded to the problems of the IDPs living in the Turbaza settlement in Gori.

“By June 24, 2017 the construction must be finished and 480 IDP families will receive the flats in the Kombinati settlement. I am ashamed and feel a bit confused before the IDPs living in wooden cottages in the Turbaza settlement. We are late to solve their problems. However, the Ministry of Defense handed us one building from the military campus, where the construction goes very quickly. In January-February, 2017 the IDPs will settle there already. The most important is that the IDPs are also employed on the construction and control the quality of the buildings. They will not allow us to do mistakes”, - Sozar Subari claimed.
