Murder fact in Gori is investigated under premeditated murder

On January 15, unidentified person initially wounded and then killed Guram Gogichaishvili with the so-called “control shot” in Tsereteli Street in Gori; he was brother of the businessman Boria Gogichaishvili.

Guram Gogichaishvili was shot in the local office of Nino Burjanadze’s political movement Democratic Georgia. As the representatives of the Gori office of the political party state, the killed man was not their member but knew him. Law enforcement officers and expert-criminalists conducted investigative activities on the site. Two persons witnessed the murder and they already gave testimonies to the police. According to the spread information, the murder had his face covered.

Concrete motive of Guram Gogichaishvili’s murder is not known yet. The MIA started investigation under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia – premeditated murder.
