“Aleksandre Khojevanishvili is an experienced manager; I worked with him during one year and gained good experience there; I will use the experience during my work on the new position,” Erasti Elijarashvili said after being appointed on the position of the Gori Municipality Deputy Mayor.

Elijarashvili worked in the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was team member of Aleksandre Khojevanishvili. The latter, several days ago, left the position of the Head of the GI and took office of the deputy head of the State Security Service. Khojevanishvili’s brother – Giorgi Khojevanishvili is the Shida Kartli regional governor and the personnel changes in the Gori Municipality City Hall are associated with the influences of the brothers Khojevanishvilis.

“The Municipality Mayor is authorized to dismiss or hire the deputy mayors. Consequently, the recent personnel changes were done by him,” the Shida Kartli Regional Governor Giorgi Khojevanishvili said and denied his interference in the activities of the self-government.

The position of the deputy mayor was vacant only for one day. Next day after Gela Kapanadze quitted the position, Erasti Leijarashvili replaced him.
