Human Rights Center (HRC) is announcing vacancy

Human Rights Center (HRC) is announcing vacancy on the position of the long-term election monitor-lawyer for the 2020 Parliamentary Elections in the following regions of Georgia: Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti and Adjara 

The vacancy is announced in the frame of the project, which aims:

To promote transparency and fairness of the election environment in the targeted regions of Georgia; 
To advocate concrete election violations with respective state and non-state institutions;
To raise awareness about the major miscarriages in the election system and election process 

Working hours: part-time 

Main duties: 

In the frame of the project, the selected long-term monitor-lawyers in the project targeted regions will start observation of the pre-election period in their respective regions. They will collect information about the election campaigns of the candidates of the opposition political parties and the ruling party in their respective regions and will monitor their meetings with the electorate in order to identify alleged violations of the election law or the misuse of administrative sources. The monitor-lawyers will request public information from administrative bodies; will analyse the reports of public institutions and other agencies, as well as the information disseminated by media; the collected information will be compared with the national legislation. The observers will prepare reports regularly and submit them to the project coordinator. 

Qualification requirements: 

Higher education in law; working experience in the jurisprudence; knowledge of English language is an advantage;  good job discipline, ability to independently plan work as well as to work in team. 
Working experience in the elections monitoring nongovernmental organizations is an advantage. 

Salary: 800 GEL (Gross)
