Human Rights Center got involved in the advocacy of Tamar Bachaliashvili’s Case

September 7, 2020
Human Rights Center got involved in the advocacy of Tamar Bachaliashvili’s case and together with the lawyer, Mikheil Ramishvili will defend the legal interests of Jumber Bachaliashvili, the victim’s assignee in the case. HRC believes that the investigation failed to answer the questions in the case. Besides, the requirements of the victim’s assignee are not satisfied so far.

Tamar Bachaliashvili went missing on July 18. After a 5-day search, she was found dead in her car near the Tetritskaro municipality forest. The investigation was launched under Article 143 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to the unlawful restriction of freedom; later on, Article 115 of the CCG was added to the qualification, which refers to incitement to suicide.
