300 family-village faces danger to appear under water. The inhabitants of village Phoka blame Municipality of Ninotsminda and central government in indifference. Some times ago natural element has added to heavy social conditions. Locals think that the government has forgotten them.

Village Phoka is located on the Pharavani Lake. Beautiful village faces danger to disappear. Because of the uninterrupted rain and increase of the temperature, in the lake of the Ninotsminda municipality has increased the level of the water. 30 houses have been covered with water. Locals ask for help.

“We are going to drown and nobody cares about it. If such situation continues, either we will leave the village, or a lot of people will fall ill with different sicknesses,” – says Gaiane Akophiani.

Simon Adamiani is one of those people, who asks for help. Father does not know where to hide children from the element:

“We cannot stay here. We ask for help. The government has to solve this problem. We leave near the Lake that is why water covers our house, where should I take my children? – I do not know,” worries the inhabitant of Phoka.

Manvel Karapetiani is concerned with such situation: “We cannot stay at home. Nobody pays attention to us. The village is forgotten.”

At present in Phoka live 300 Families. Though, the locals declare that the village has been half diminished during last 10 years. According to them, the reason of the migration is the heavy social and climate conditions.

“If we live here, somebody has to pay attention to us. We have no road, no water and no living conditions. After the increase of water level a lot of “Riabushka” (Royal Fish) have been died. The bridges are damaged. Nobody has remembered such swelled lake during past tens of years,” – says the local of Phoka Durache Chabaniani.

Gamgebeli of Phoka Artavaz Madoiani also asks for help to the Central Government: “Water leaks from the dams. Over 30 families live in danger. This year temperature has increased suddenly and snow from the mountains has added to the lake, this fact caused sudden increase of water level. People live in the rooms full of water,” – declares Gamgebeli.

The locals say that in case of indifference, the danger faces not only to Phoka but also to the inhabitants of whole region. According to them, swell lakes join the River Mtkvari and the villages located on the bank of the river faces danger to be covered by water.
