What Did Shida Kartli Vice-Regional Governor Choose from Kibar Khalvashi’s Property?

The Human Rights Center found out what Shida Kartli vice-regional governor Zurab Chincilakashvili chose from the former property of businessman Kibari Khalvashi in the companies “Priza” and “Arti”. On the photo Chinchilakashvili is sitting with Alika Makrakhidze, director of the local company “Arkstudio 2000” in the jeep which belonged to the wife of Kibar Khalvashi as relatives of the businessman alleged.

We got in touch with Alika Makrakhidze who said they had really been in the companies “Priza” and “Arti.”

“I accompanied Mr. Zura there because he was offered to take some staff to Shida Kartli. We did not like the cars they showed to us and we left. On our second visit we took five cars (“07”) and one truck, so called mixer of the cement. Today, those cars are in the yard of the department for public services and amenities. The small cars will be sent to other towns of Shida Kartli region - - Khashuri, Kareli and Kaspi district administrations. As for the jeep where Zura Chincilakashvili and I are sitting, is Zura’s car,” said Alika Makrakhidze.

We also asked him whether the local authority had given any present from Khalvashi’s property as he had building company and was favorite businessman of the local government. However, Makrakhidze categorically denied our allegation.

Kibar Khalvashi who lives in Germany now said that governors of Samegrelo and Imereti regions – Zaza Gorozia and Mikheil Chogovadze relatively, Shida Kartli deputy regional governor Zura Chincilakashvili, Mtskheta-Tianeti regional governor, Mtskheta district deputy governor, Mayor of Poti, head of Imereti region rescue department, Kakheti region deputy governor, brothers Akhalaias (one of them is Defense Minister of Georgia and another head of CSD) distributed the property of Khalvashi’s companies “Priza” and “Arti.” He blames Minister of Justice in the expropriation.

“These people distributed and took the cars of the Priza,” said nephew of the businessman Nika Khalvashi. Kibar Khalvashi is sure that he will gain the arbitrarily deprived property back.

Attorney of Kibar Khalvashi Dimitri Gabunia provided all materials which prove the governmental officials misappropriated the properties of the companies “Arti” and “Priza.”

Zurab Chinchilakashvili said in his interview to the studio GNS that he visited his friend in the sequestered territory of the company and the jeep where he was sitting with Makrakhidze belongs to the regional administration.

Nika Khalvashi said the jeep belonged to the wife of his uncle Kibar Khalvashi.
