Policeman is Beaten in Batumi

The government of Ajara continues to threaten the Ajarian community. The aggression is now also directed at  representatives of law-enforcement.

Two days ago, several unidentified persons beat a policeman, Zurab Iakobidze. According to the Iakobidze, the reason for the beating was that he supports the policies of the new Georgian government and does not hide his views.
The Minister of the autonomous republic of Ajara, Aslan Abashidze, denies that he had anything to do with the attack.
