Police Detain Editors of Batumi Newspaper

On March 31, personnel of the Ministry of Interior detained Eter Tuladze and Mzia Amaglobeli, on the grounds of operative information. Tuladze and Amaglobeli edit “Batumelebi”, the local independent newspaper of Batumi. Police made the pair get out of the car, searched them, and drove them to the Minstry of the Interior.

Officials at the Ministry reviewed the facts of the case and immediately released the detainees.
