Georgia  Has a New Public Defender

Tbilisi. Media News. With 132 votes against 0 the Georgian Parliament has confirmed Sozar Subari in the position of the Public Defender. Prior to the vote, Sobari’s candidacy, who is one of the leaders of Liberty Institute, had been discussed at some length.

According to Subari himself, he is well aware of the fact that he will have to deal with and settle the problems of a lot of people; however, he is well acquainted with the field and he will put his efforts in the interests of the Georgian citizens so that each citizen of Georgia feels safe and protected.
Sozar Subari also noted that the Georgian population has lost interest in the Public Defender’s Office. This fact, he continued, is best demonstrated by the few people frequenting the office and nearby aisles.
